Tesco Mobile is still considered a relatively new mobile device company. It was established in 2003 and has been run with the 02 Network provided by the United Kingdom since the very beginning. Tesco moved to Ireland in December of 2006 when it came into a partnership with O2 Ireland so that Ireland could offer superb telecommunications services. In Ireland alone, Tesco Mobile has over 375,000 customers.
Hungary joined into a partnership with Hungary in a 50:50 venture and they worked together to provide telecommunications services until 2016 when Vodafone took over the services.
In December of 2009, Tesco Mobile expanded to Slovakia in a joint partnership along with Telefonica Slovakia. Together they were able to offer telecommunications services to the entire country.
Tesco Mobile continued to expand and in May of 2013, they announced that they would be offering their mobile services in the Czech Republic. It utilizes the O2 network but actually operates completely separately from it.

If you decide to go with this option, you are not tied to a contract. As long as you pay your service bill on time every month, your phone will be kept in service. However, if you come to a month where you can’t pay, you will not be penalized for missing it, you simply have to wait until you can pay either the next month, or you can call the Tesco Mobile contact number to pay the bill and get your phone turned back on. Tesco offers the SIM Card only option and the pay as you go option, so it is an affordable option for everyone.
